Electric Octave Mandolin Conversion made from a Squier mini strat Electric Guitar<br><br>Tuning: GG DD AA EE<br>Scale Length: 22.75"<br><br> This is an Electric Octave Mandolin that I have converted from a new Squier by Fender mini strat electric guitar. The color is black. <br><br> I installed 2 geared tuners. Devised a custom bridge. Modified the nut And did a full setup on the instrument for great playability. The results are great, the instrument plays very well with good tone, sustain, and intonation.<br> The strings used for the Octave Mandolin are: GG (0.046) - DD (0.030) - AA (0.22w) - EE (0.012). The strings are standard Ernie Ball nickel ball end electric guitar, which are readily available. <br><br> So if the idea of an electric Octave Mandolin has intrigued you, this will be a great starter to spark your creativity.<br><br>This advertisement includes a link to a video where I am playing the actual converted instrument.<br><br><br><br>Remember, this is NOT an electric guitar.
